Estimation ceremony
Estimation ceremony is required to select a consensus size estimate for the task required. All participants must gather in the ceremony room to conduct the evaluation. When at least one user enters the room, the rest of the team is notified that other members are waiting for them in the ceremony room commands In addition to the notification, a list of users who are waiting in the room is displayed.
Several steps are required to complete the assessment.
Step 1 - Selecting type of estimation
In order to make an estimation, team members need to agree on a 1sp minimum assessment task in order to evaluate more complex tasks.
In details, you can choose a free evaluation mode so that poker planning can be carried out without being tied to any task.
Step 2 - Task selection
Swipe to select the task you want to evaluate. After clicking, a message will appear that the task is currently being evaluated. If you click on this message, detailed information of the task will open.
Step 3 - Estimation
After pressing the estimate, all participants in the ceremony will see a screen synchronously for selecting the size of the estimate in storypoints based on the Fibonacci sequence.
You need to offer your version of the assessment, taking into account the agreement on 1sp.
Step 4 - Search for consensus
After all participants have proposed their version of the estimation, an estimation size is selected that suits everyone. If consensus cannot be found, then a second estimation is made until all participants choose an estimation size that suits everyone.
Step 5 - Final step
When a consensus is found, any participant, in agreement with the team, selects the required size of the estimation and presses the button to end the ceremony.
